Make school uniform chaos a little easier!
Forget sewing tiny name labels into everything. Forget fighting with the iron. And definitely forget those sticky labels that start peeling off after a few washes!
Our personalised clothing stamp lets you add your child's name to their uniform in seconds. Just press, lift, and you're done. Perfect for jumpers, school shirts, PE kits, coats, book bags, lunch bags and all those other things that mysteriously disappear at school! It's a really handy little shortcut for getting everything named — without spending hours labelling every single item.

THE INK
We use German textile ink designed specifically for stamping onto clothing, paired with a self-inking stamp body.

A FEW LITTLE DETAILS
* Stamp size: 14 x 38 mm print area
* Ink: Black textile ink
* Ink pad: Replaceable and can be re-inked, so you can keep using your stamp rather than replacing the whole thing

No sewing. No ironing. No peeling labels. Just stamp, wash, and go!

Digital Proof: During checkout, you can leave a note requesting a digital proof in the “Notes to Seller” box. A proof will be sent to you before production to ensure you’re happy with the size and layout.

Stamps have big personalities! They’re not meant to look like factory-printed labels — every stamped impression is one-of-a-kind, with its own charm and character. Your paper, your press, your ink… all play a part in the magic. Handmade stationery = perfectly imperfect!

All About You Stationery items are made to order. Items are dispatched within 1–2 working days of purchase.

- What is a COLOP Printer 20 name stamp?
The COLOP Printer 20 is a compact, self-inking stamp that can be personalised with your child's name and used to quickly label clothing, school uniforms and other suitable fabric items.

- Can I use the COLOP Printer 20 as a school uniform name stamp?Yes. A personalised clothing stamp is a quick and convenient way to label children's school uniforms, PE kits and other fabric belongings.

It is particularly useful for school shirts, jumpers, trousers, skirts, sportswear, coats and other light-coloured garments where you want to add your child's name without sewing or ironing labels.

- What can I stamp with a personalised clothing stamp?
The stamp can be used on a range of suitable absorbent fabrics and other materials, making it useful for much more than school uniforms.

Popular items to label include:

  • School shirts and blouses
  • School jumpers and cardigans
  • Trousers and skirts
  • PE kits and sports clothing
  • School coats and jackets
  • Nursery and daycare clothing
  • Socks and fabric accessories
  • Fabric shoes and plimsolls
  • Textile pencil cases
  • Fabric bags and book bags
  • Other suitable fabric items

- Does the stamp come ready to use?
Yes. The self-inking design means the stamp and ink pad are contained within the stamp unit, so there is no separate ink pad to handle every time you want to label something.

Simply position the stamp, press down firmly and lift straight up.

- Do I need to sew or iron anything?
No. That's one of the main advantages of our self-inking clothing stamp.

You don't need to sew name labels into your child's uniform or spend time ironing individual labels onto garments. Simply stamp the name directly onto suitable fabric.

- How do I use the clothing name stamp?
For the best result:

  1. Wash and dry the garment before stamping.
  2. Place the garment on a firm, flat surface.
  3. Smooth the fabric so there are no folds underneath the stamp.
  4. Position the stamp where you want the name to appear.
  5. Press down firmly and evenly.
  6. Lift the stamp straight up without sliding it across the fabric.
  7. Allow the imprint to dry before washing or wearing.

Washing new clothing before stamping is recommended because manufacturing residues or fabric treatments can affect how well textile ink absorbs into the material.

- How long does a clothing stamp last?
The lifespan of a stamped name depends on the fabric, washing temperature, detergent, drying method and how frequently the garment is washed.

Textile name stamps are designed to provide a durable alternative to temporary labels, but no fabric ink should be expected to remain completely unchanged forever. If the imprint eventually starts to fade, the garment can generally be stamped again.

- Is the name stamp washable?
Yes. The textile ink is designed for use on suitable washable, absorbent fabrics.

However, the exact lifespan of an imprint will vary depending on the garment and washing conditions. Lower-temperature washes and following the recommended care instructions can help maximise the life of the stamped name.

COLOP's textile stamping products are specifically designed for marking textiles and use textile ink intended to withstand machine washing.

- Can I stamp my child's name onto shoes or plimsolls?
The stamp can be useful for fabric shoes, plimsolls and other absorbent footwear materials.

Results can vary considerably depending on the material and finish, so we recommend testing the stamp first on an inconspicuous area.

- How long should I wait before washing clothes after stamping?
Allow the stamped imprint to dry fully before washing the garment.
For the most reliable result.

- Can I use the name stamp on lunch boxes or water bottles?
A textile name stamp is primarily intended for fabrics and should not be assumed to work on non-absorbent surfaces such as plastic, glass or metal.

For lunch boxes, water bottles and similar school items, use a label or marking method specifically designed for that material.

- Will the stamp smudge on clothing?
A properly applied stamp should be allowed to dry before the garment is handled, folded or washed.

For the clearest result, place the garment on a firm surface, smooth out wrinkles and press the stamp down evenly without rocking or sliding it.

How do I get the clearest imprint?

- Is the ink safe for children's clothing?
Use the textile ink supplied with the stamp and follow the manufacturer's instructions for its intended use.

Where the stamped area will come into prolonged contact with skin, it is particularly important to use an ink specifically intended for textiles and follow the manufacturer's safety guidance.

- How should I store my self-inking clothing stamp?
Keep the stamp covered and stored in a clean, dry place when it is not being used.

Avoid leaving it exposed to excessive heat or direct sunlight, and keep the stamp upright and protected from dust where possible.
